Context

Mine operations with the need to plan structured actions, in line with the best international practices, in order to guarantee the physical and chemical stability of the structures, enabling the future use and socio-environmental sustainability of the enterprise in the decommissioning and post-decommissioning phases.

Methodology performed

Details of actions related to decommissioning, such as the process of definitive decommissioning of structures, associated aspects and impacts, applicable control and mitigation measures, evaluation of possible future uses, justification for the chosen future use, costs involved and schedule.

Results

Integrated vision of the necessary actions to proceed with decommissioning and guarantee the best alternative for future use, considering all socio-environmental and financial aspects.

Execução do estudo para o processo de Anuência Prévia para Supressão de Vegetação de Mata Atlântica no estágio médio de regeneração, dentro dos limites definidos pela Lei Federal nº 11.428 de 22 de dezembro de 2006, de uma linha de distribuição com mais de 50 hectares de Mata Atlântica a ser suprimida.

EMERGENCY ASSESSMENT AND RECOVERY PLAN

Development of a preventive plan focused on creating long-term recovery strategies, with the objective of structuring actions for a hypothetical breach event. The objective was to assess the social, environmental, and economic impacts that may arise from failure in tailings disposal structures, considering the extent of local damage and its medium- and long-term repercussions, and to engage stakeholders in defining and implementing recovery actions.

DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

Development of Socio-environmental Studies for the implementation of new public schools through Public-Private Partnerships. This project includes the preparation of diagnoses, analysis of environmental restrictions of the insertion area and applicable current legislation, considering recommendations aimed at pertinent actions and good practices that ensure the proper implementation of the projects and consequently their operation.
